Border & Immigration.

A nation that does not control who comes in does not control who it is. We secure the border, enforce the law, and put American workers first.

President Donald J. Trump in the Oval Office presenting the Mexican Border Defense Medal to U.S. servicemembers.

Border security is the first responsibility of a sovereign government. Without it, every other policy debate — wages, schools, public safety, the rule of law itself — is conducted on terms set by people who are here without the country’s consent.

For a generation, both parties have told the American people that the border could be managed by speeches, paperwork, and good intentions. It cannot. It can only be managed by walls, agents, deportations, and laws that mean what they say.

Elect Republicans funds the candidates who understand that — and the year-round research, data, and tools that make the case in every district where it has to be made.

What it takes to make a border mean something.

  1. 01

    Border security is the precondition.

Build and complete the wall. Defend Remain-in-Mexico. Fully fund Border Patrol. Until the line holds, nothing else holds.

  2. 02

    End the abuse of asylum.

Asylum was built for political refugees, not economic migrants gaming a backlogged docket. Reform the credible-fear standard, accelerate hearings, and remove those who fail.

  3. 03

    Deport criminal aliens.

End sanctuary policies that shield violent offenders. Restore federal, state, and local cooperation on immigration enforcement. Public safety is not negotiable.

  4. 04

    Reform legal immigration.

A merit-based, skills-based system focused on the people who will contribute most to American prosperity. End chain migration and the diversity visa lottery.

  5. 05

    Protect American workers.

Illegal labor suppresses wages and erodes the bargaining position of every American worker. Immigration policy is, first and last, a wage policy.

  6. 06

Treat the cartels as the threat they are.

Fentanyl, drugs, and human trafficking are funded by the cartels operating across our southern border. We confront them — financially, diplomatically, and where the law allows, with force.
