Born on January 30, 1972, in Louisiana, Johnson has built a distinguished career as a legal professional and public servant committed to advancing conservative principles.

A proud graduate of Louisiana State University's Paul M. Hebert Law Center, Johnson began his professional journey as an attorney in private practice. Before entering politics, he worked with the Alliance Defending Freedom, a respected conservative Christian legal advocacy organization, where he honed his legal and policy expertise. Johnson's deep commitment to religious liberty and social conservative values was further demonstrated through his service on the Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission of the Southern Baptist Convention from 2004 to 2012.

Johnson's political career began at the state level when he was elected to the Louisiana House of Representatives in 2015, serving until 2017. In 2016, he was elected to represent Louisiana's 4th congressional district, a position he has held through multiple successful re-elections.
